Teaching Personal Statement
教学专业个人陈述(PS)
I have had an interest in becoming a teacher since I was young- apart from an early desire to be an entrepreneur-and chose a work experience placement in a primary school to give me a better insight in what a career in teaching might involve
I really enjoyed the experience and related well to both children and teachers and received a positive response from the school. During my time there I had to supervise small groups of young children and helped hear them read and complete worksheets on various subjects. I returned voluntarily for two "Baker" days when my school was closed and the Primary school was not. I also renewed relationships with the children and teachers on their fete day. I feel it is important to give young children a positive start in the education system and would like to be part of this system
Whilst I have considerable patience I can also be strict in setting limits. I have personal experience of this because I have a young Nephew and Niece also I have used these skills as a school prefect this year and have received a form prize for hard work. I have also been form captain and school hockey captain, which have both needed leadership, negotiation and knowledge skills. Whilst sport has not been my main interest in school I have participated in fitness, tennis and played for the Folkestone Optimists Hockey Club
Of my A-level subjects, Politics involves debating which has helped me to become more confident in delivering presentations to other people
Throughout my schooling I have also received high marks for effort and achievement and currently retaking some AS modules to improve my prospects and do my best. Hopefully my work experience placement highlights my need for further training to become an effective primary school teacher.
